My Macros.. For the guild because whispers are annoying

Druid Macros:

Cat Form Powershift:

Means I can shift in and out of Cat Form really quickly with no global cooldown to escape Frost Nova, Hamstring and so on.

Weapon Swapping:

Press it once and it equips the two handed weapon, press it again and it equips the one handed and offhand.

Nature's Swiftness -> Healing Touch

What this does is casts Nature's Swiftness and when you do this if you're holding down the Alt key you will NS-Healing touch yourself.. If you're not holding down the Alt key it does your target.

/cast [nomodifier:alt, help] Healing Touch; [modifier:alt,target=player] Healing Touch

Mage Macros:

Water Elemental:

What this does is press it once and it uses BOTH trinkets, Icy Veins and summons your water elemental, second press with bring up the pet frost nova all on one button.

Arcane Explosion:

Frost Nova / Cold Snap:

Providing you have a focused target you will counterspell them. If they are out of range,dead or anything else then you will cast it on your current target.

How can i put my focus's name into a tell

like %t for current target, It'll help in co-ordination . Also can i see other people when Im invisible ?

%f = focus

"Sheeping %f , leave them alone!" or something

and as for invisibility.. you can only see other stealthed targets

Instead of writing macros to do weapon swaps.. there is a little add on called item rack, which allows you to hot key entire item sets. Very, very useful IMO.

no point using addons if you don't need to imho :p

Well, its like saying why have a BMW M5 when all you need is a Toyota Carolla. More features, better look, faster etc etc.

Itemrack doesn't look better, it has exactly the same feature as a macro and it's slower >: (

Haha when you have such little time to switch weapons Keystrokes > Point n Click

key strokes are so much faster than clicking, it's true.. clickers at best in 2v2 on retail get to the 1600+ bracket.

1/2 clickers get to the 1800, and the 100% keybinded people get to 2300+
(retail ofc point proven.)

Ok I guess I oughta explain myself a little more clearly. In this particular discussion, we are comparing an add on called "Item rack" with macros written to "achieve" the same end purpose ie item hot swaps. This we have established and are clear on right?

OK.. so now I'd like to reign both of you in from the tangent you have pursued - being the merits of clicking vs keybinding during pvp.

Here's the rub. Item rack allows you to keybind. I have multiple config sets bound to diff keys. Clicking during PvP is not what we are discussing in this comparison.

This particular add on makes the SETUP of the COMMANDS that are BOUND to those keys so much more convenient. No syntax req'd. That's all I was trying to illustrate. Mind you this is only for equip hot swapping.

Hope we are clear now.. Dont get me wrong.. macros are brilliant, esp for spell/equip combos and I do use them .. like say for instance i wanted to change an item before every healing spell and then swap it back for every dps spell.. obv add on cannot handle that whilst a macro certainly could.

Pros n cons exist for both. Pidgeon holing is silly.
